My second response is the theme time and paired have been manipulated. I have decided to take photographs of an abandoned building which over time has become neglected and by doing this it shows what time can do to a building and how it can gradually change and become abandoned and empty. This relates to the theme paired as combining it with time instead of comparing it to an old image of what the building used to look like we are comparing how the old building looks now as it has gradually changed over time. I decided to flip the theme to show modern day buildings can turn into old and abandoned.

Edits
These images have been digitally manipulated using Photoshop to make them look more dull and on a greyish scale. These images have been edited this way to show how time has made the buildings suffer and how the building has grown to look like this through the years. By decreasing the contrast, vibrance and lightness of the images it gives them more of a ghostly look as they are seen to be empty and not in use anymore. Also by changing the saturation of the images it helps the colours to still be seen but not as vibrant as they normally are which represents how old the building really is and that it is derelict. Each image has some skyline showing which has been edited to become less saturated and dull. As the colour tones of all 6 images have been decreased which sets the atmosphere and mood of the image, the mood of the image becomes dull as it feels like the colours have been drained out and are slowly being taken away from the building.
Development
This development work shows how through time the buildings have become abandoned and have started rotting away. This shows that not everything as time passes changes and becomes more modern this has done the opposite, as time has progressed the paper shows how the buildings have been rotting away with no help to achieve a more modern look. I have decided to rip the paper and scrunch it up to get the creases to appear then to enhance this I have used sand paper to make the creases appear more so you can see each crack. This effect helps us understand how the buildings are currently falling apart due to time, as time progresses the buildings are no longer changing and being left to fall down. With scrunching the paper up and making them look like they have been left for ages to decay represents the buildings. The idea of this development is too show the opposite of the other shoots I have done and show how buildings can go from being looking busy and used to abandoned and empty. This also shows a comparison or "pair" between the shoots as it shows how infrastructure is different within different areas.
